#MyHeroes collaboration wins MediaWeek Gold

We ended the week on a real high after being involved in our first ever MediaWeek Awards win!

The #MyHeroes campaign, led by DOOH.com and Kinetic, won gold in the Media Collaboration, COVID-19 category. It was supported by a number of media owners across the UK and Ireland and we are really proud to have been one of them.

#MyHeroes was all about celebrating the 14.5 million key workers during lockdown who worked so hard every day to keep us safe. Collaboratively the OOH industry came together to hand over the reigns to the public, asking them to nominate their heroes and tell us their stories. Using the hashtag #MyHeroes, geotargeting allowed the tweets to be displayed on OOH screens near the heroes’ homes or workplaces.

The campaign was live for eight weeks on 1292 sites. It featured 647 unique creatives on 51 formats, with over 112 million playouts and a media value of £2.5m – the largest ever highly targeted multi-format campaign in the UK and Ireland.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved – a brilliant example of media collaboration at its best.
