Continuing to support communities with our 'Together We Give' initiative
Together We Give
We’re thrilled to share more experiences as part of our Together we Give initiative, where each department across the company volunteers for a local charity of their choosing.
Our Development team joined visited Blackpool to clear the promenade of rubbish for marine life protection and pollution prevention. They were all pleasantly surprised with how clean and tidy the area was after three hours of covering a two-mile stretch of the beach, they managed an impressive haul!
The Delivery team spent the day at Sweet Tree Farm which is a charity that has an innovative approach of care farming – providing therapeutic, rehabilitative and education support for people who have face challenges that include mental health issues, disabilities or social exclusion.
They spent the day collecting wood, clearing and weeding pathways and rearranging outside social areas for school children visiting.
Our Direct Sales North team supported Pendleside Hospice, a Palliative & End of life Care provider, offering a range of service such as creative and wellbeing groups, therapy, pre and post bereavement counselling for adults and children, crisis support and more.
Our team got involved in both garden maintenance and painting a fence that ran through the grounds after learning more about the charity and the amazing work they do.
Marketing, Data & Tech visited the Little Village warehouse, a charity that makes a big difference to families with babies and young children living in poverty across London. Via their network of baby banks, they gift loved goods from one family to another. Many families need this support with over 4m children living in poverty across the UK and 1.2m living in destitution.
The two teams spent the day dismantling and rebuilding cots, unpacking bags of donated clothing and toys (whilst checking for quality) and sorting for onward gifting.
