Giving back to communities with our 'Together We Give' initiative
Together We Give
We are excited to have launched ‘Together We Give’, an ongoing incentive where Alight team members have the opportunity to volunteer and ‘give back’ with a local charity of their choosing. Many teams have spent time volunteering with a charity of their choice already, including:
Our Senior Leadership team spent the day helping out at the Gloucester foodbank, supported by Trussel. The team were given a tour, educated from the team of volunteers on the work that is involved and put to work packaging food parcels.
The National Sales team voted to volunteer at Soup Kitchen in London for a day. The team joined regular volunteers on predetermined routes through the city, where Alight offered drinks, sandwiches, and other necessities to those in need. They were encouraged to chat with those they met, offering an ear and providing information about available services and support. This was an eye-opening experience for many of our members.
Our Central Direct Sales team supported Maggs, a charity that works to eliminate long term rough sleeping and substance misuse. The Alight team hosted a BBQ and activities at The Redditch Harm Reduction bringing together 25 service users. Valuable awareness was gained from both the support workers and service users.
