Outsmart, the trade body for the Out of Home (OOH) advertising industry, has reported that OOH advertising revenues for Q1 2026 totalled £341.2m, up +15% on the same period last year. The figures are independently collated by PwC.

Digital OOH led the way with growth of +17.6%, and now accounts for 67% of total OOH revenue, a clear sign of where advertiser demand is heading. Classic OOH also had a solid quarter, growing +10.1% and continuing to prove its worth for brands focused on broad reach and awareness.

It was a record quarter for UK Digital 48 sheet revenue at £34.7 million for Q1 which is up 23% YOY.

It's a strong start to the year, and builds on the momentum the sector has been building over the past 12 months. The results reflect real confidence from advertisers in OOH as a high-impact, brand-safe medium that connects with audiences in the real world.

Justin Cochrane, Chair of Outsmart, comments, “Despite ongoing macroeconomic challenges, this is an incredibly strong result, demonstrating the confidence brands have in Out of Home.”
